We’re still alive. We’ve been in the new house for about 4 weeks now and things are really starting
to settle in. We just finished all of our unpacking today (yeah!) and are starting on the
improvements soon. Jessi has already ordered some nice paint and I’ve got plans for the loft and
basement. It’s amazing how fast everyone settled in, even the pets. So nothing real huge happening
at the moment.

Into our home, they swam in a sack
From Wal-Mart they hailed, near the pet section in back.
Two gold and three gray, hardly two inches long
two lives cut short by the toilets swirling song.
Aquarium so clear, at least at the first
in the end you wouldn’t drink it if it meant dying from thirst.
New water, less food we gave it a try
but do what we could, the gold fish had to die.
“You may hate me now, but someday you’ll miss me”
was written on the headstone of dear Extra Crispy.
Oh heaven, take our fish where the sewer doesn’t flow
Two fishy’s down, 3 more to go.

A couple of leaks, a lot of rain, some muddy tires and very sore muscles, but we’re in!! I’ll have pictures up soon, but I think the camera is in a box.
