phew, what a ride. I’ve been at the new job for about a week now and so far, enjoy it. It’s going
to be an incredible amount of work, but I can do it. We’ve been assigned a new social worker for the
adoption, so that’s proceeding along very nicely. We should have our home studies done pretty soon.
Noah is his normal charming self and has decided that Dora the Explorer is totally cool. Jessi
started back to work a few days before I did and is enjoying being back too, but we’re both
pretty darn tired. Dozer still can’t hold it all night, so he gets up around 3 every night
wanting to go out. He’s also decided that it’s his job to notify us if Noah makes any sort of
noise while he is in bed. Nice little backup system.

Sorry that we were down for so long. We took a major beating with some bad weather out here and
pretty much everything that we have that wasn’t on a UPS died. I had to rebuild everything except
our file server and that took a little bit of time.
Jessi started back to work today and came home refreshed and sleepy. I’m starting my new gig
in a few days and tomorrow, I’m buying battery backups for darn near everything.
