Lots of new pictures

Posted under Jason

Noah is doing well. His eyes got a little dark but he’s fine otherwise. I’ve created a new page called Other that has pictures from, well, other parts of our life. Some of them are pretty old and silly, but they make for fun viewing when you’re bored.

Babies first concussion

Posted under Noah

skull.jpgNoah took a spill off the back of a chair early this afternoon and cracked his head on the floor at daycare.  He was fine for an hour or two, then came the nausea. Daycare called and had us come get him and we took him to urgent care. Seems our rough and tumble little guy has scored a mild concussion.  We got him home with instructions to keep an eye on him and to call if he starts to get worse. He was very, very slow. Would hardly talk, kept trying to sleep. Jessi and I were a bit concerned to say the least. We figured we needed to help him shake some of the pain, so we gave him a dose of childrens tylenol.  30 second count down and then purple spew all over the place.  He did start feeling better after that though, but we have to wake him up every 2 hours tonight to make sure he’s ok.  I get the midnight, 2am and 4am shifts. Jessi gets the 6am and 8am wake up call.  This highlights the key difference, I believe in boys and girls. Girls milestones are marked off by more social things. Dances, dresses, birthday parties. Boys milestones are measured in insurance deductibles.

Remedial Math

Posted under Lost thoughts

math.jpgLet’s do a little math.

4000 American Soldiers dead in Iraq + 89,867 documented dead Iraqi civilians + 8800 Al Qaeda caught or killed < 2998 people dead on 9/11 .   Crap, no wonder I failed high school, I was working with actual numbers when I should have been using Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.
