We’ve always heard that girls develop social skills fast, and Inara is proving that point. One day after we post that she has no interest in rolling over on her belly, she had to assert her fledgling independence by doing nothing but that. To complicate matters, she doesn’t understand why she can’t crawl when in said position. Her current attempt at forward mobility resembles “the worm”, except she uses her face rather than her upper body to get her legs mobile leaving a slimy trail in her wake with Noah yelling “face plant” each time in between jagged breaths from laughing so hard. So thank you for all those blankets and quilts – she is goobering them all. Once our little caterpillar realizes she’s no closer to her destination, she starts cussing. I’m not referring to her vocabulary (which is age appropriate) but her tone and facial expressions which would earn an R rating. With her constant attempt to flip over, diaper changing requires a nuclear reactor technician-level of focus rather than our Homer-esque automated responses of yore. All because the 3-month old had to defy her parents. And we wouldn’t have it any other way…

Tired. That pretty much sums up the past few months. I forgot how tiring babies can be! Inara is doing great, getting big, cutting teeth already and trying to crawl! She has no interest in rolling over, but she enjoys standing up in her saucer a LOT. Noah has started a gymnastics class that he’s super excited about and Jessi goes back to work in a few weeks. Which means kindergarten for our big boy and daycare for our little girl. I’ve updated the past few months worth of pictures and I’ll try to keep new ones flowing in, but no promises
